According to AG Tommy Thomas, Datuk Seri Najib Razak used cheques issued from his AmPrivate banking account to pay for home renovation projects in addition to contribution to other BN parties.
Thomas pointed out that Najib’s credit card was charged USD 130,625 (RM 533,000) at a Chanel store in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Seriously?! RM 500,000 just at a Chanel store? Many of us can’t even have a savings of RM 100,000 in our bank after retirement…..
“Other evidence also shows that Najib has issued personal cheques as payment for renovation works carried out at his residence at No.11, Jalan Langgak Duta here at Kuala Lumpur as well as in his residence in Pekan, Pahang. Cheques were also issued to various BN components political parties”
Thomas earlier said that Najib has issued a total of 15 personal cheques from his AmPrivate banking account totaling approximately RM 10 million, following several tranches totaling RM 42 million into the account.
Najib is facing one charge of abusing his position, 3 charges of criminal breach of trust and another 3 more charges for money laundering.
