In Singapore, local model and club DJ whose full name is Debbie Valerie Tenashar Long, or better known as DJ Tenashar, who fled the country while out on bail for drug offences was jailed for 18 months today.
The former FHM Singapore cover girl was found to have traces of drugs, including cocaine in her urine sample back in 2015.
She fled the country on November that year and only return in May 2018 after her passport expired. She was arrested upon arrival at the airport.
The 33-years old mother of a 12-years old girl had pleaded guilty to consuming benzoylecgonine, a major metabolite of cocaine and psilocin – a substance found in most psychedelic mushrooms.
DJ Tenashar admitted to being in possession of psilocin.
After receiving information, the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) officers first arrested Tenashar for drug related offences at the arrival hall of Changi Airport Terminal 1 back in 2015. Officers took her urine test and later found positive readings of benzoylecgonine and psilocin.
At the airport, the officers searched her luggage and found two containers labelled “Psilocybe Atlantis Forbidden Fruit”. It contain approximately 42g of a substance which was found to contain psilocin. Investigation shows that Tenashar had brought the drugs in Amsterdam and intended to consume it.
At Tenashar’s house at The Quayside condominium, CNB officers also found an Erimin-5 tablet. The DJ was taken to the Police Cantonment Complex for further investigation before she was released on bail.
For each drug consumption offences, Tenashar could have been jailed for up to 10 years and fined up to $20,000 (RM 60,259). -The Straits Times/Asia News Network.
